SOCH ('Serenje Outreach for Childrens Help') was founded in 2004 during the HIV/AIDS pandemic as an orphanage located in Serenje, a small rural town in Zambia. SOCH is registered as an NGO in Zambia (DRNGO 101/0832/18).
From 2024, the focus of SOCH will move away from an orphanage to the support of disadvantaged children through the SOCH CHARITY SCHOOL
Mission Statement of SOCH
To enable DISABLED and other VULNERABLE CHILDREN in the Serenje district community to access REHABILITATION services, excellent EDUCATION, survival skills and secure HOSTEL accommodation.
Construction of SOCH CHARITY SCHOOL is well underway - the first block of classrooms is now complete
How to Donate
We are now equipping these classrooms with furniture and teaching aids. If YOU would like to help us to do this, please do so on our JustGiving.com page. Thank you so much.
This photo was taken over 10 years ago. You should see this young man now, after he has enjoyed the love, care and access to education that the SOCH is providing for him and other children.
